Grüner Veltliner is an ancient variety of grapevine. Some evidence might suggest that it was grown as early as in the times of Ancient Romans, but the first written mention comes from 1766. The wine has a nice greenish-yellow color, a fruity bouquet, and a fresh mead and almond taste.
