Krtkuv Dort / Mole’s Cake
550g dough mix sachet, 100g filling mix sachet, 60g dark chocolate + 100g soft margarine or butter, 2 eggs, 75ml of milk, 3 bananas, 500-600ml chilled whipping cream, 100ml cold water
1) Dough preparation : Mix the dough mixture with margarine (or butter), eggs and milk and whisk thoroughly. Put the whisked dough into a greased mould and bake for 35-40 minutes - electric oven 170C, convection oven 150C.
2) Cake base adjustment : After cooling, separate the bottom of the mould and lay the corpus on the cake tray. Scrape out the cake base with a spoon to a depth of half a centimeter leaving 1cm wide edge. Hollowed out part of the cake base crumble into a bowl.
3) Preparation of filling and the cake decoration : Peel bananas, cut in half lengthwise and lay them flat into hollowed out corpus. Whip the whipping cream until stiff. Put the content of the filling mix sachet into a bowl and add water. Whip for 30 seconds. Add the whipping cream and then the chocolate chips. Put the whipped cream filling on top of the cake (dome-shaped) and sprinkle with cake base crumbles. Leave the cake in the fridge for approximately 3 hours to solidify.
