The theories that the Italian Riesling comes from France have never been confirmed, so the origin remains a little mystery. The name was probably derived from Wallachia - a mountainous region in today's Romania, some of which associate it with northeastern Italy, where Riesling Italico is grown. It is characterized by a sparkling golden-yellow color, a delicate scent of meadow flowers and the taste pleasant with typical acids.
