Slovak style Gnocchi mixture - Traditional Slovakian national cuisine meal
Ingredients : 250g powder mix, 200ml water
1) Mix the powder mix with cold water and whisk thoroughly. Let rest for 3-5 minutes.
2) Push dough through the “Halusky” sieve into boiling salted water. As soon as Halusky float up to the surface, take out and rinse with cold water.
3) Sprinkle with “Bryndza” cheese and fried bacon.
Tip for serving : “Halusky” with Poppy seed
Mix 100g ground poppy seed with 2 TBLS icing sugar. Heat up 50g of butter. Prepare “Halusky” according to the recipe above, add melted butter and sprinkle with poppy seed.
