Zmrzlina je mražený mléčný výrobek ze směsi smetany nebo mléka, cukru, vajec, a přísad (ovoce, čokoláda, vanilka).
People have enjoyed eating ice cream for thousands of years, and it is said that the Roman Emperor Nero began by ordering his servants to harvest and create a mixture of honey, nuts and snow that was then stored in his ice cellars. Ice cream (mixed with dairy) is said to have made its way into European history in the late 17th and early 18th century. Traditional ice cream as we know it today however did not become an everyday food item in Europe until the 1920’s.
Today, almost every country in the world has access to a seemingly continuous flow of ice cream! If you have spent time in, or visited Slovakia or the Czech Republic, you will remember seeing long lines of people waiting patiently to get their hands on the local ice cream. The ice cream in this part of Central Europe is extremely popular due to its rich flavour and thick creamy texture. We at Halusky just knew that ice cream was a product we simply had to stock!
As a result, a variety of Czech and Slovakian ice cream treats are available from our East Sheen Halusky store! Whatever your taste we offer frozen desserts in a variety of flavours, such as fruit, chocolate and more.
As much as we would love to sell our ice creams online, they are only available in store as we are not able to transport them to you before they melt! A good excuse for a trip down to our Halusky store in East Sheen for a wider range of products.
We stock many popular brands including Piknik, Mroz and Misa, so you are bound to find a taste of home or a fond flashback to your trip to Slovakia or the Czech Republic.
