The history of production of Korbacik steamed cheese dates from 17th century, predominantly from the mountain regions of Slovakia.
The Korbacik were then produced from mounting cow milk via a unqiue technology process with a large contribution of handwork.
In order to preserve quality and tradition, even today's korbacik are proiduced by the original technology, with large contribution of handwork, and in accordance with original recipe.
This cheese is a much sought-after delicacy, and it goes very well with wine or beers.
